The Online TST/IGRA Interpreter
Version 3.0

Disclaimer:

The information on this website is intended to aid clinicians in the interpretation of positive TST. This does not provide assistance for consideration of a possible false negative TST, and is intended as a guide and not as a substitute for clinical judgment. It is not proposed for use by non-healthcare professionals.

Estimates of predictive value and risk of disease for a positive test (TST or IGRA) from this algorithm cannot be made for children aged 5 or younger. This is because the published evidence base for these estimates in children is weak. Treatment should be very strongly considered if the child had a positive test for LTBI (TST or IGRA), because risk of disease is very high in such young children with latent TB infection.

In children and adolescents over the age of 5, the predictive value and risk of disease for a positive test can be extrapolated - with caution - from the calculations for an 18-year-old.
